Martin Suter

In 2019, I had the unique opportunity to contribute to the redesign of the official website of Martin Suter – Switzerland’s most renowned and successful contemporary author. During my time at Hinderling Volkart AG in Zurich (now part of DEPT), I was involved in the concept development, design of new features, and overall enhancement of the website.

The design was crafted to reflect Suter’s distinctive writing style: minimalist, modern, and bold. Typography played a central role, creating a striking and almost artistic reading experience – a deliberate design choice that conveys both character and exclusivity.

A personal highlight of this project was the chance to meet Martin Suter in person and enjoy several private readings at our office – a truly unforgettable experience that made this project even more special for me.

This project was realized by Hinderling Volkart, which at the time was Switzerland’s undisputed leading web agency. Even today, as part of DEPT, the agency continues to be a benchmark in the digital world.
